Cheryl Petersen, who is based in Somerville Victoria and Murwillumbah in NSW, is a highly skilled professional artist.

Petersen began her art career by studing graphic design at Monash University. Her formal training has equipped her with a keen eye for composition and colour theory. Petersen has illustrated numerous children’s books and been published in various magazines.

With her knowledge of colour and a bold sense of experimenting, Petersen creates dynamic pieces of art, often on a grand scale. Her work can be found in galleries across the country as she continues to push the boundaries of traditional acrylic art. Through a blend of textures, layers and vibrant hues, Petersen’s creations evoke a spectrum of emotions and invites viewers into a world of wonder and beauty. As a master of her craft, she continues to captivate and inspire others through her colourful and thought -provoking works.

Aside from her numerous accomplishments as an artist, Petersen is also dedicated to sharing her knowledge and expertise with budding artists. She teaches art classes and strives to inspire creativity and originality in her students. Her passion and dedication to art and painting extend beyond teaching, as she also runs her own gallery to showcase her remarkable works.
