‘I am inspired by our unique, natural environment, the beauty of the Australian coastline and its native fauna and flora.’

Her painting embraces the area that bridges the imagined and the real world.
The imagined: the process of flooding water onto large sheets of Arches paper, then
pouring on watercolours and ink, allowing them time to blend, intermingle and finally settle into the paper fibres.

The real: the process of looking into the piece, then adding an element of life to it (such as a white-faced heron searching for food). Detail is then added, using pencil, pastel and successive glazes.
